You will need an email address to create a SAW account. If you do not have one, you can create a free email address with Gmail.


If you already have a SAW account, you can skip this step. However, the email address you use in Step 2 must be the same as the primary email address listed on your SAW account.

New user account requests are typically processed once per week. 

Once your account is active, you will receive a 

Welcome to CareLearn email. 


If you do not receive any follow up communication within 7 days of submitting your request form please email CareLearnSupport@dshs.wa.gov.

After You Submit Your Account Request Form

You will immediately receive an on-screen confirmation that your submission has been received

Please Note: Licensing prohibits more than one account per user. To edit any information submitted within your form please contact CareLearnSupport@dshs.wa.gov. 

Within 7 days of submitting your form you will then receive an email from the CareLearn Help Desk

The email titled "Welcome to CareLearn" will contain instructions on how to login on both desktop and mobile devices as well as how to complete your first caregiver training course.

You will also receive a CareLearn system generated email notifying you your account has been created

The system generated email titled “Your CareLearn User Account” will announce your CareLearn account has been successfully created and you are now able to access any of the available online courses.
